Artist's Comments

This is a chalk pastel drawing I did for art class last year. I've never really been good at drawing males, but I like this.

I found the inspiration in American Photo magazine. An artist digitally altered a photo and won in their annual photo contest two years ago. If anyone knows the name of the photographer (either you recognize the piece or have that issue), please let me know so I can attribute him.

Still, this is not a copy of someone else's work. I drew the altered photo on a canvas with pastels. This won an Honorable Mention in the Edmonds Art Festival and was selected to be displayed in an art exhibit featuring Alfredo Arreguin. Hope you like it!

Whoa...I have nothing more to say. How surrealist... it has meaning too, which a lot of pieces lack. More than anything I've seen on devart, i'd call that art.

checked out your gallery, and i'd have to say this is my favorite of your submissions. i only wish it was "the real thing" instead of a photograph of it - but it's nicely done. interesting concept too. oh, and thanks for all your comments on my stuff :)
